DevOps Technical Lead

Day to Day:
- Own the technical design for the clients Data Platform, partnering with the Product Manager to lead implementation
- Build and maintain motivated teams, ensuring that we recruit the right staff, and develop our staff to the best of their abilities
- Work with product teams to shape the architecture, design, and implementations of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Help product teams to develop and deploy on a cloud native environment
- Ensure all key services are measured, monitored and raising alerts when needed
- Develop automation of application deployment and configuration
- Develop reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers and products
- Coach and train developers on DevOps best practices
- Research, develop, configure and implement tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Drive efficiencies in products and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, backup/restore and root cause analysis.
Essential:
- Grit, drive and a deep feeling of ownership.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Equivalent practical experience is a reasonable substitute.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience on DevOps/SRE or equivalent
- Strong experience in Python, C# or Go
- Strong experience on bash Scripting
- Experience with PowerShell
- Strong Experience with Kubernetes
- Strong experience with Docker
- Experience with DevOps in Azure cloud.
- Experience with deployment and support of Azure services
- Significant experience with Azure Functions, Web Apps, Event architecture (event hub, event bus etc.), ELK, etc.
- Experience on Azure DevOps pipelines
- Working knowledge of Terraform
- Understanding of Microservice based Architecture
- Ability to implement infrastructure as code
- Practical agile experience in both startup and enterprise environments
- An understanding of application security and information security controls
- Data Science platform/tools experience, plus monitoring and logging platforms, will be an advantage
- Knowledge of trading related operating environment will be an advantage. Strong communication and collaboration skills, along with 5+ Years' experience working in a trading related environment (energy & commodities trading, banking or consultancies) with Front Office Trading Managers.
