Business Systems Analyst - France
Morson International are working with a global IT consultancy who are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team in France. This is an initial 5 month contract where they are paying €375 a day. This role will be working from home. They are looking for someone who has strong experience in data analysis, data modelling and data mapping.
The Business Systems Analyst:
You will be working closely in an agile environment with working with Technical Team as well as End Users to ensure Business Requirements are successfully translated into working digital solution designs to support delivery of a new strategic application to capture data from users across Europe.
Gather requirements by using requirement elicitation techniques like brainstorming, requirement workshops, interviews, questionnaires, or others.
Validate requirements by cross-referencing analyse and interpret requirements for their viability against the business case, and prioritize them with the business owners, considering the scope and schedule of the project.
Analyse systems requirements and prepare detailed functional and non-functional specifications, according to the defined business requirements and the technical constraints.
Analyse and model requirements by using standard techniques and notations (eg, UML, BPMN, etc.)
Contribute to the design process, namely at the presentation layer level (user interface design).
Participate in solution prototyping, for verification of specifications, error identification and getting early feedback regarding the user interface.
Document exceptions and how the system in expected to behave in different situations.
Validate that the suggested design meets the business objectives and requirements.
Interface with the developers to clarify and confirm the complete requirements and all the associated aspects (technical, functional, and operational).
Create test cases and testing scenarios.
Test the applications by doing functional testing, application testing - ensuring the functional and technical compatibility of the product with the requirements.
Assist in the preparation of test data, configuration data and user accounts, for the Testing, Quality, and Pre-Prod environments.
Inspect the installed and configured systems, validate their functioning, and look out for any flaws and errors (running sanity checks after each technical release).
The successful Business Systems Analyst will have:
Experience working on large-scale projects, delivering large scale complex Financial IT solutions specifically Master Data Management, Reporting Data Collection platform and Data platform.
Data Analysis and Data Mapping from Business domain to technical domain.
Iterate and collaborate with business areas on requirements until they are baselined and agreed to a point suitable to be able to progress with technical solution designs.
Competence with range of analytical models/diagrams
Datamodelling and database design.
o Bachelor Degree with minimum 6 years of working experience
o Experience working on large-scale projects, delivering large scale complex Financial IT solutions specifically Master Data Management, Reporting Data Collection platform and Data platform.
o Proficient in Systems Analysis Techniques, able to impact proposals and perform System High-Level and Low-Level Design Analysis.
o Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to influence up, down and with peers, excellent written, verbal communication, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Expert hands-on knowledge and experience in producing business and functional requirements in line with business needs.
o Expert hands-on knowledge on analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, low fidelity mock-ups).
o Good knowledge of UML and able to document requirements clearly and concisely.
o Escalation of any potential issues, risks or defects uncovered as appropriate.
o Schedule and facilitate requirements workshops with the relevant business areas and surface requirements from users.
o Derive business requirements from the business, covering the full breadth of the high-level scope already identified.
o Derive technical integration requirements and data mapping designs to meet documented user stories.
o Map out technical integration requirements to ascertain data mappings and technical solutions needed to integrate systems to meet the business needs.
o Document requirements in user story format and prioritise them based on business value, working with Product Managers to groom the backlog to identify and address gaps/blockers through investigation with the business.
o Data Analysis and Data Mapping from Business domain to technical domain.
o Agree Testing scenarios, User Acceptance Testing, and co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing phase.
o Identify Acceptance Criteria and Test Cases to support documented User Stories using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
o Identify and analyse integration points, identifying functionality and data dependencies
o Iterate and collaborate with business areas on requirements until they are baselined and agreed to a point suitable to be able to progress with technical solution designs.
o Participate in development team planning and prioritisation meetings.
o Experience in data analysis, integration analysis, API definitions is essential.
o Competence with range of analytical models/diagrams
o Datamodelling and database design.
