Description

We are looking for an experienced DNS Architect to support a customer engagement to review the existing DDI service against industry leading practice. They will have extensive experience of architecting and designing complex enterprise DDI (DNS, DHCP & IP Address Management).

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions/Competencies
-Review current DNS/DHCP architecture in all areas against industry best practices
-Review policies and configuration and flag any immediate discrepancies
-Support impact review of complex changes before implementation
-Support the identification of reoccurring incidents and find solutions through root cause analysis sessions, major incident review, trending, elimination of known errors etc.
-Provide DDI consulting services to peer Engineering, Operations, and Systems teams, that support future state migration discussions for new business services
-Collaborate with other network architects to advise on integrated DDI solutions
-Review impact of any changes
-Support OHE3 migration discussions for DMZ
-Review policies and configuration
-Flag any immediate discrepancies
-Additional Requirements:
-Working knowledge of VitalQIP would be advantageous

Work Experience:
-Proven experience of architect, support, and scope complex DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions at scale, in large enterprise organization

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Deep technical experience working on IPAM environments
-Thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing and Time Services
-High degree of experience in the day-to-day configuration and Sr. level troubleshooting of IPAM DHCP, DNS, and DDNS
-Proven experience of plan, verify, and integrate DDI solutions for complex client applications
-Understanding of the principles of network routing/switching
-Comfort with both Unix/Linux and Windows environments
-Experience with the VitalQIP desirable
-Good Active Directory background and understanding

Outside IR35, remote with Ad-hoc days in the Milton Keynes office.
