Radio Frequency Engineer
Technical Test Analyst-Airwave Tetra, ICCS
Duration: 9 months
Location: Barnsley (Hybrid)
Rate: £450 per day - Inside IR35 (umbrella company required)
IDPP are currently hiring for a Technical Test Analyst for our large public sector client. The client is looking for a motivated and well driven person who will provide excellent testing analysis and a person who can understand the business and customer needs. Experience working with Tetra vendors is a must for this position so if you have this experience please apply within.
Key responsibilities
- Provide test and technical guidance and assurance on TETRA terminals, ICCS and BAU systems
- Undertaking technical planning and support of the annual terminal upgrade activities.
- Participating in full suite of test activities including non-functional, conformance, performance, integration and full end to end functional and scenario testing including issue, risk and problem management.
- Undertake Trust Security audits for BAU/new systems and feedback to the Regional Service Managers/Technical Lead
- Technical assurance of operational solution for given requirements, with the ability to provide reasonably accurate estimates for projects.
- Communicating clearly and concisely with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Fault analysis, debugging and quality assurance of defects raised/recorded and tracking progress
Key Experience:
- Must have 3+ years' experience in testing communication technologies
- Must have experience with the Public Sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of Mobile networks that include GSM, GPRS, UMTS & LTE
- Good understanding of TETRA radio configuration and Programming software
- Understanding of the Airwave Tetra network.
- A good understanding of an LTE network that includes radio access
- Knowledge and understanding of Tetra modes and interfaces
- Knowledge and understanding of Mobile data networks
- Experience of Mobile data terminals, GPS and various antenna systems
