Description
Mainframe Application Architect is required by this niche strategy consultancy engaged with a Financial Services client. Ideally your background will come from a similar FS/Banking environment where you've been part of an overall team focused on modernising complex, Legacy environments to new technology platforms, with your focus on the Application analysis and design.
You'll be comfortable liaising with the client around the challenges faced from moving Embedded business knowledge, creating modern designs and maintaining business continuity.
Your responsibilities will include -
- Portfolio Analysis Linking overall
- Application analysis with a Mainframe run time environment
- Recommend strategies and required functionality changes for the Target environment
- Design a parallel system to support the overall migration/redesign of the existing client batch processing system
- Work closely with the Data Architect to design the Data architecture
- Ideally your experience will include - ADDI - batch modernisation Key IBM Mainframe technologies - MVS, CICS, IMS IFLs/DB2/VSAM Modernisation initiatives
- Cloud IBM certifications will be very beneficial
