Job Purpose Summary:
The purpose of this post is to align the implementation and development of key business systems to the strategic objectives of the client.
Working in close collaboration with key business areas the post holder will:
- Provide leadership and management in the operation, development and continuous improvement of the clients Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
- Ensure reporting requirements are met, and look to develop further functionality such as Dashboards.
- Realise the potential of the technology by inspiring others and driving forward implementation of new and additional Oracle Cloud Fusion functionality.
- Oversee day to day Oracle Fusion service management.
Areas of responsibility:
- Ensure that return on the clients investment in Oracle Fusion is maximised, that the technology is Embedded in working practice and that it enables the business transformation required to deliver against Corporate Plan and Organisational Development Framework objectives.
- Oversee the work of the clients Fusion support team, ensuring they have the tools, technical training and support required to meet key deadlines.
- Plan, lead and facilitate effective internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication, including with external suppliers.
- Manage relevant contracts and project work including management of on-site contractual staff engaged in related work, budgets and team development.
- Drive the organisation wide development of new business reports and dashboards via Fusion reporting and Orbit.
- Proactively search for potential issues with Oracle Fusion developments, particularly with respect to quarterly updates conflicting with existing configuration choices.
- Horizon scan new Oracle Fusion developments, identifying opportunities to apply these to meet the clients business requirements.
- Lead and be responsible for the delivery of other Cloud migration projects across the organisation as required.
Role requirements
- Technical understanding - experience of Oracle Fusion, Oracle E-business Suite, or other complex IT systems; experience of Oracle databases, either on-premise and/or Cloud; IT system configuration; IT system security; business report development.
- Excellent relationship management skills - able to influence stakeholders and manage relationships effectively to deliver business outcomes.
- Leadership & management skills - leading project teams; detailed knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies; proven ability to drive successful deliveries to planned timescales.
- Experience of Cloud IT migration projects
- Budget management experience.
- Experience in resolving contractual, performance and delivery issues with suppliers.
- Knowledge of IT systems architecture.
- Evidence of successful leadership and management of change.
Specific role requirements
- We are looking for an Oracle Fusion Cloud Service Manager tolead and manage the operation, development and improvement of our Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and provide a focal point for the management and development of our reporting solution.
- This role will enable the organisation to maximise the benefits from the solution and play an active part of the delivery our wider Transformation Programme.
- The successful candidate will:
- Provide technical understanding of Oracle Fusion to support its development as we embed its use in the way we work.
- Lead the clients use of Oracle Fusion, keeping up to date with national developments and wider opportunities for development and knowledge transfer. They will identify fresh benefits that can be realised through the use of the system and promote these as part of our wider digital transformation.
- Effectively manage the Oracle Fusion contract and relationship with Oracle.
- Support others to improve their skills and experience in the development of the system.
- Be an active team player, contributing to the wider development of the organisation and Transformation Programme.
