Description
Xpertise are working alongside a government body to find an experienced Platform Engineer to join their team and help them deliver high quality and resilient digital products. Here you will be optimising the existing platform while collaborating with colleagues to develop the platform roadmap.
You will be:
- Collaboratively delivering a VMWare stretch cluster
- Assisting with the adoption of vSphere 7.x
- Providing insight into further improvements of VM management tooling and VMSC options.
- Supporting VM migration from Legacy network to a new network location.
Key skills:
- Experience with VMWare 6/7.x multisite environments.
- Cisco UCS
- NSX environments
- Commercial experience with Fibre Channel Fabrics including Brocade switching
- Data center management and best practices
- Windows and RHEL operating systems
- Infrastructure as Code, including automation. (Ansible, PowerShell/Powercli, bash, Perl and/or python)
- Grafana
Remote working where possible - except where access to physical hardware is required, ideally the candidate would be able to commute to Edinburgh.
Rate: £470 per day, Outside IR35
