The DCI, Datacenter Infra department is responsible for the data centers and the delivery of generic data center services to both internal and external customers. Within DCI, the Private Cloud domain is responsible for the VMware IaaS services. As a VMware Engineer you will be a part of a team of 12 responsible for a number of external VMware platforms for large business customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use of vRealize Operations for reports for capacity and performance management.
- Execute management of the vCD/vRA environment
- Perform management on the Compute VMware layer (hardware, vSphere, vCenter)
- Execute management on the SDN NSX-V layer
- Management on the HP/Dell hardware underlay
Key Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of management and maintenance of an enterprise vSphere 6/7 Compute environment
- Affinity with Dell/HP hardware and maintenance thereof
- Extensive knowledge and experience with SDDC stack (vSAN/NSX)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware tooling such as vRealize Operations/vRealize Suite
- Experience with migration from vSphere platforms
- Knowledge and experience of ITIL processes
