Contract: Digital Design Electronics Design Engineer - FPGA
Location: Somerset - Commutable from bath and Bristol
Rate: £competitive
Duration: 12 months
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership skills including effective communication, team development, strategic thinking, innovation and ethical practice.
- Proven track record of working within a multi-discipline design team.
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing mechanical and electro-mechanical products.
- Analogue design including mixed-signal simulation (eg SPICE)
- Digital design including FPGA's, EPLD's using VHDL
- Microcontroller and hardware and software design
- PCB design including conventional and SMD components on multilayer boards utilising high speed signals. Knowledge of designing for 'local' (intra-system) EMC, controlled impedance and low noise.
- CAD systems (eg OrCAD, Allegro, AutoCAD, Altium)
- Use of/knowledge of CAD tools: MathCAD, MatLab etc.
- A knowledge of the RoHS and WEEE EU directives
- Design for EMC and EMC Measurement and Mitigation Techniques.
