Description

We are Looking for a Hardware Engineer to complete electrical design engineering activities for existing and new control systems on Naval projects and applications.

My client is open to flexible working options but on-site work in my clients Southwest London office will be required.

My client is a global defence organisation so any experience in this sector would be ideal, as you will be put through an SC Security Clearance once starting this role.

The Key Responsibilities of a Hardware Engineer:

  • Lead the creation, modification, maintenance and management of electrical designs
  • Lead component selection and system implementation
  • Analyse and justify electrical based designs and component selection in accordance with functional safety standards
  • Be the lead technical hardware customer facing point of contact to deliver on-time quality

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Hardware Engineer:

  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
  • Understanding of installation, commissioning and testing of PLC based control systems
  • Create and manage electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ability to analyse hardware components for suitable form/fit/function, including functional safety aspects
