Adecco's specialist Property Services Division North are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a reputable Public Sector organisation as we look to assist them in recruiting for 2 x Interim Electrical field managers to work 4-5 months with the Voids and Assets department in West Yorkshire offices

Purpose

To work as a Field Manager - Electrical the Voids and Repairs Service to effectively manage and support operatives in the field through supporting and developing teams using measures to continually review and improve performance and operative output.

To act as a 'Qualifying Supervisor' on behalf of the organisation as defined by the NICIEC approved body for electrical engineering.

Duties

  • To have a good understanding of the electrical regulations and fully capable of using the IEE wiring regulations.
  • To ensure statutory compliance with external electrical bodies through the formulation, dissemination, monitoring/quality assurance of policies and procedures to staff.
  • To allocate resources and direct operatives to support the execution of clear and cohesive plans created by the Site Manager relating to the provision of suitable homes when our customers need them and the provision of a repairs service to improve the status of our stock condition
  • To deliver confidence to the senior management team that all electrical work are compliant and are expected to deliver board reports and presentations.
  • Planning training and presentations for regular regulation updates, health and safety and our yearly Qualified Supervisor (QS) compliance audit from an external body
  • Manage within operational plans and budgets to ensure appropriate resource allocation and efficiency in Building services
  • Represent Asset Management and/or Building services at various levels to achieve outcomes to the benefit of the service.
  • Monitor closely the performance of the team within a framework of established objectives and measures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • To be the first point of contact for electrical apprentices' mentors to offer advice, support and guidance; be the first point of contact for electrical apprentices' mentors to offer advice, support and guidance
  • To manage and review works ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to health and safety legislation

Candidate requirements

  • A relevant management qualification ie, ILM Level 3, HNC in construction, CMI or electrical related
  • Significant experience managing a team of Trade/Craft and Admin staff
  • Knowledge of the building maintenance industry including relevant experience in the inspection of domestic property
  • Housing/residential experience in a supervisory capacity
  • NICIEC supervisor knowledge and application
  • SMSTS - Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate, or other relevant Health and Safety Certificate (optional)

Rates of pay/GP

  • Secure contract until April 2023
  • £ per day UMBRELLA
  • PAYE £193 plus holidays

No CIS payment method
