Flint is currently looking for a Network Performance Specialist for a rolling contract with one of the main Telco providers in the UK.
Please note this role is Inside IR35.
What you will be doing- Your accountabilities
- Investigate and identify areas of underperformance and opportunities for performance uplift using multiple sources of data including:
- Coverage data.
- Capacity data.
- OSS performance data
- Change logs.
- UE Application events/L1 information
- Drive Test UE logs/Wireshark covering OSI L1-L7.
- ENodeB and CN protocol analysis.
- 3rd Party OTT (Over The Top) protocol traces.
- Devise and deliver plans for improvement uplift through parameter optimisation.
- Area's not optimisable to be channelled to other resolving parties for improvement including design, operations, vendors.
- Define & refine the monitoring and root cause analysis methodologies and deliver into BAU including items such as monitored KPI & Drive Test setup.
- Support E2E performance analysis working collaboratively with Project teams and other network domains such as Core Network to enact improvements in Customer Experience.
Experience you would be expected to have
MANDATORY:
- Extensive experience in mobile telecommunications industry, particularly with Small cells in the role of a lead designer with business-critical, high-availability/high-throughput systems and networks.
- Able to provide technical solutions, processes definition for network performance & optimisation of 4G/5G based small cells systems
- Proven experience in defining and understanding KPI definitions, formula and measurements of radio networks
- Able to analyse in depth, drive test logs, wireshark traces and protocol analysers traces for 2G/3G & 4G networks
- Knowledge of 2G/3GLTE parameters.
- Familiarity with test software & devices (Accuver/TEMS) & post processing tools (XCAP/Actix).
- Experience of working with Suppliers to develop new Network capabilities.
PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of multiple vendor products including Huawei, Nokia, Parallel Wireless, Ericsson.
- Knowledge of 4G/5G architecture, radio interface protocols and signalling.
