Software Engineer
Working in Brough a Software Engineer is required on a 12-month contract basis to work for a major defence client.
Hourly Rate: £39.51 PAYE or £52.13 Umbrella
Overview
- To work as part of the Software Team in the development and testing of Real Time integrity software.
- Work effectively as part of a team, even though they will spend significant periods of time working on their own.
- Be self-motivated
- Display rational thought, particularly when under pressure
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.
The role will contain, but will not be limited to the following:
- Requirements evaluation and analysis
- Test Script development
- Requirements to Test traceability and coverage analysis
- Verification activities (including but not limited to test, inspection, and analysis) and reporting
- Support documentation and data reviews
- Support system test activities
Skills
- At least 10 years of experience in the development and testing of Real Time high-integrity software
- Fast jet experience
- Ada
- Requirements Analysis
- Test Script development and execution
- Configuration control and change management
Desirable:
- Hawk experience
- User Interface testing
- RTCA/DO-178B or C
- Safety critical testing
