Description

As a Lead Technical Architect you will lead and be responsible for the design, documentation, configuration and installation of Intune managed Windows devices to an estate of >50,000 endpoints.

  • Rate: up to £750 per day
  • Inside IR35
  • Location: London, one day a week, four remote
  • Length: 12 months +
  • Must have active SC Clearance

As a Lead Technical Architect you will:

  • Lead and been responsible for the design, documentation, configuration and installation of EUCS solutions based on Microsoft 365 to best practice.
  • Experience in all aspects of Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on Identity and Authentication (AzureAD), Endpoint Manager, SCCM, Co-management, Microsoft Managed Desktop, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and Sharepoint
  • A good understanding of the varying technologies, platforms and operational models
  • Owned the structure and delivery of technical design workshops ensuring the required outcome is delivered and the results captured
  • Determined where gaps exist in current architectures, people and processes and been proactive in bridging those gaps
  • Managed the discovery and documentation of existing and future user, business, security and technical requirements
  • Experience in driving requirements workshops to understand the customer business and operational outcomes.
  • Delivered using Agile best practices and tooling
  • Steered new solutions to a successful outcome where multiple 3rd parties or technical stake holders are involved
  • Managed internal resources and 3rd parties and their deliverables to ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions
  • Identified and engaged the right areas of the business to maximise support for automation initiatives
  • Created and managed Statements of Work for mid-contract changes
  • Helped drive the policies and procedures that contribute to the maintenance of ISO, Data Protection and ITIL based standards/processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset and Release Management).

As a Lead Technical Architect the required Experience & Responsibilities are:

  • Manage technical work related to the extension of a new large scale EUC desktop deployment workstream to multi site/'000's of users
  • Responsible for architecture, design, documentation, configuration and implementation of the EUCS solution to best practice.
  • Manage the analysis of the as-is desktop environment - user settings, configuration, deployment, applications, environmental settings, infrastructure services.
  • Understand the existing desktop environment and its dependencies to provide informed feedback to the project/stakeholders
  • Technical assurance of configuration for desktop deployment - technical planning, change, design, documentation.
  • Define and implement security management for desktop services to meet organisational security requirements
  • Oversee and plan automation of desktop deployment, application delivery and service change (patching updates etc)
  • Provide leadership in support of architects and engineers for project deployment and delivery activities
  • Organise technical output from varying sources, internal/external into actionable plans to progress the workstream
  • Manage estimation for resourcing for technical roles relating to desktop design, configuration or deployment.
  • Manage output of engineering and technical staff in terms of timeliness, accuracy and being fit for purpose standards and requirements
  • Raise requests with existing support teams to progress testing or rollout
  • Work with and manage outputs from vendors and partners who are participating in the workstream
  • Lead the creation of Agile Issues and management of the technical backlog and sprint tasks for the engineering function
