Role Title: Lead DevSecOps

Role Type: Contract

Day Rate: Up to £800 per day inside IR35

Initial Contract Duration: 6 months

Location: London (Hybrid - 2-3 days a week in office)

Opportunity Overview: We are currently supporting one of the leading global insurance providers to recruit for the Lead DevSecOps. This role will be responsible for the management of software releases through various test environments to production for one of their critical programmes.

Key responsibilities include

  • Management of the DevSecOps and associated staff and 3rd parties including:
    • Operational Monitoring
    • DevOps Engineering (DevOps Tools, Environment and Configuration Management)
    • Change and Agile Practice Lead
    • Strategic Partners (environment management services)
  • Define and implement SDLC guardrails and standards, facilitating input of other IT function heads including CTO, CISO, business aligned Heads of IT and Head of Infrastructure.
  • Implement a framework to assure that solutions and services provided to the business are of high quality, efficiently delivered, meet agreed business needs and satisfy the control requirements of a regulated business.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps tools and processes that support increased automation of IT change delivery through the SLDC.
  • Provide Environment Management services to support and co-ordinate product, project and IT application teams migrating changes through non-prod environments to live.

The ideal candidate would have

  • Extensive experience building and leading DevOps engineering functions (30+ people).
  • Experience of managing budgets & costs (multi-million)
  • Experience of working with 3rd party managed applications including SaaS and in-house developed applications.
  • Track record of building engineering capabilities required to support strategic applications and platforms:
    • Solution Architecture & Design
    • Configuration/Software Development
    • DevOps Engineering and Automation
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
