Role: IP Operational Consultant

Daily Rate: Competitive

Location: Dublin City Centre

Type: 12 month contract with view for extension

One of Irelands leading Telco companies based in Dublin City Centre are looking for an IP Operational consultant to join the IP team. This is a brand new vacancy with new responsibilities and scope. Reporting into the Operations Manager the IP Operations Consultant will work closely with vendors and suppliers as well as onshore & offshore teams to drive quality in the IP Operations.

Day-to-day duties:

- Ensures High standard maintained at CAB to drive quality change on the IP area and champion our Customer experience

- Ensure High quality sign off for IP Operational Readiness and that no IP related Ozone changes impact existing or future services

- Drives appropriate action & follow up in the Major Incident Review and Problem Management Process for IP

- Provide technical guidance and recommendations during MSO's

- Drive operational efficiencies around support and tools to reduce MTTR and maximise customer experience

- Engaging in all IP Technical vendor meetings to drive quality & value from the vendor

- Ensure appropriate KPI's are in place and partake in periodic reviews to measure IP Network Performance and Customer Experience

- Ensure all IP related operational processes are up to date and reviewed regularly, ensuring fit for purpose

- Broad understanding of all IP aspects within telecommunications environment, with a particular emphasis on Cisco & Juniper technologies.

- Lead Monthly Risk assessments of the IP Networks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are being proactively planned and implemented.

- Handle escalations from 2nd level support engineers on fault resolution across all IP Networks and network security services.

Essential Requirements

- 8 years experience in an IP Operations environment

- A proven skillset & track record for both Packet & Circuit disciplines

- Attention to detail & exceptional ability to handle high pressure situations

- To be able to communicate effectively, highly technical scenarios to Senior Management in an easily comprehendible manner

- Formal IP qualification e.g. CCNP

- Experience of Network management systems

- Have experience of both Juniper and Cisco as well as experience of the various firewall vendors Cisco/Checkpoint/Fortinet.

Nice to Have

- Formal Telecoms Qualification

- Exposure to 2G, 3G & 4G Network

- Experience in Cisco Voice Solutions
