I am currently working with an independently owned engineering design and project management company who are actively looking for an E&I Design Engineer.Contract Length - 6 months
Start Date - ASAP
Location - Greater Manchester
They require an experienced controls & instrumentation Designer to work on various UK projects, working in the Chemical, Petrochemicals and Pharmaceuticals sectors but initially in the Food and Beverage sector.
A broad experience of designing instrumentation and control systems for application in the above sectors is essential. A reasonable knowledge of the application of ATEX equipment in Hazardous areas is required.
The successful applicant will have previously worked "on site" with the ability to interface with client to carry out site surveys and meetings.
The ability to prepare Instrument specifications and detailed design packages including BCD's, Schedules, Loop diagrams etc using AutoCAD is essential.
Experience of the design, application and installation of mainstream and specialised Instrumentation equipment and a working understanding of LV electrical systems is required.
Previous participation in specifying and designing of LV electrical motor control circuits, LV Distribution, lighting systems, control panels and other LV equipment is also required.
Awareness of Siemens, Rockwell and Schneider control systems would be desirable but not essential.
