Role and responsibilities:
- Budgeting, cost planning and detailed developmental estimates of projects during the design phase.
- Commercial assessment of contractor bid preparation, inclusive of all disciplines.
- Commercial assessment of contractor monthly applications for payments/requisitions.
- Thorough assessment, negotiation and contractual resolution of all change order proposals.
- Responsible for financial reporting and forecasting support to the Client's project manager.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced competency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to quickly learn how to use multiple web based IT systems and use and interpret them accurately and at pace.
- Must be able to deliver the above at an advanced pace, working within multiple deadlines and duties, and also deliver works accurately.
- Candidates must also be able to work to their own initiative while also working well as an integral team member.
- The candidate must be reliable and punctual, and have a 'can do' and flexible attitude.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience plus a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Applicants should have a proven track record of providing advanced pre-construction, procurement and construction phase cost control services with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Successful candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
- The successful candidate will also have a forward thinking approach with ability with to further develop client relations.
