Marketing Manager - 12 Month Contract

Up to £200 per day - Car allowance/Company Car

North Yorkshire (with the option of working from home 2 to 3 days per week).

North Yorkshire based Manufacturing Organisation is looking to recruit a customer facing Marketing Manager on an initial 12 month contract.

The candidate must be able to interface at the appropriate level, both internally and externally. Working cross functionally with all departments, interaction with Commercial, NPD and the Technical Department, are key requirements for this challenging role.

Requirements

  • Previous FMCG manufacturing or retail experience within category management
  • Highly focussed on commercial success factors and be very driven by achievement of sales and share targets
  • Excellent relationship builder, as the first point of contact for licence partners and retailers

  • Experience of developing and managing packaging process

The role

  • Analysis and presentation of market and shopper trends using retailer data
  • Developing category reviews with insightful customer range proposals based on relevant shopper and category analysis
  • Working in partnership with customers, licensees, Account Teams and NPD to develop both blue sky and customer specific new products
  • Management of new products through the NPD process. You will be responsible for the weekly NPD meeting and project managing product launches
  • Managing licence partners and own label new packaging through the NPD process
  • Marketing and PR for the business, developing their web site and customer communication
  • Provide functional leadership for peer group alignment, where needed.
