IT Project Manager - LAN
Our client is looking for a Technical lead to assist in the LAN Hardware Exchange Globally.
This project is a Global LCM (Life Cycle Management) project. The current installed hardware and software gradually becomes outdated/EoS (End of Support) and hence need to be exchanged. This will be done during 3 years due to the amount of network devices. The ordered organization in this project will be IT Delivery/Base Infrastructure IT. The Project scope is to LCM a large part of our network devices (est. 8000 devices) There are approximately 550 Sites in scope for Roll-Out in Stores, Warehouses and Office.
The scope of the consultant services is to assist our client in Project planning (DP1-3)
The main tasks in the assignment will be/a day at work will look like:
Work as technincal lead. Planning migration from a technical view and also setting roll out processes for the whole project. Contribute with problem solving experience from similar projects. And also work closely with technical experts. Minimize incidents and Site impacts at migrations
ASSIGNMENT (main responsibilities):
- Detailed migration planning together with Country IT/Local IT/Gnetwork/GLAN
- Create technical instructions and migration processes
- Support Change coordinator with DR and tasks instructions (eg to workgroups)
- Task force responsible, problems investigation, find solutions
- Participate in Deployment & Task planning meeting
- Improve work practise and documentation, lesson learned and surveys
