Description
The Change Lead will work within the IM&T Programme team and report to the Head of Change and on a daily basis to the Project Manager of the ePMA project.The post holder would primarily be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the work of the EPMA programme covers the necessary aspects required to deliver the products or service that will lead to operational benefits
- Managing the realisation of benefits, and ensuring that continued accrual of benefits can be achieved and measured after the programme has been completed
- Preparing the affected business areas for the transition to new ways of working; potentially implementing new business processes and optimising the timing of the release of project deliverables into business operations
- Work alongside ePMA project team and lead the operational and clinical teams in service and performance improvement by implementing and facilitating sustainable change
- Identifying, defining and tracking the benefits and outcomes required of the project
- Implement change programmes and projects to realise the stated benefits on time
- Taking the lead on transition management; ensuring that 'business as usual' is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business
- Be an 'expert' in the use of improvement tools and techniques including:
- Process mapping patient pathways and work processes
- Demand & Capacity studies
- Applying Statistical Process Controls to diagnose inefficiencies and measure effectiveness of change
- Service redesign
- Role redesign and work practice change
- Group facilitation
- Provide the depth of analysis to identify opportunities for redesign and sustain improvement
- Support and teach the operational and clinical staff in the skills and techniques of sustainable service improvement
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improve the organisational culture through encouraging teams to focus on patient centred care
- Be aware of the wider health economy and government policies affecting the Trust and patient care. Incorporate these policies into a change agenda
- Become operationally aware, spending time with staff involved with the team/speciality in order to gain a real sense of what is wrong and what is possible
- Constructively challenge behaviours that hinder change or do not support the strategy and values of the organisation
- Create agendas for, and chair project team meetings, taking minutes where necessary
- Write progress reports and summaries of change programmes/projects for presentation to governing bodies and key stakeholders
