The Role
The Compliance Accountant will be working within the global compliance controllership team, who are responsible for standardizing and optimizing how the company comply with and execute local statutory and tax requirements.
Being part of a large finance group means the Compliance Accountant will have exposure to a lot of opportunities and paths along which to pursue their career, become permanent and progress. This is a good starter role within the company and career prospects include working up to an Area Controller role in Operations, or working as an Analyst within the business.
In this financial accounting role, the Compliance Accountant will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS101, process review & improvement, tax and VAT calculations and the reconciliation process.
Requirements
The Compliance Accountant will meet the following criteria:
* Fully/Part-Qualified - ACA/ACCA
* 2-3 years' experience in financial accounting - UK GAAP & UK statutory accounts preparation
* Good Excel skills
* Experience in SAP or other large accounting software
* Preferably experience from a medium-to-large company
