Description

We are a privately held, Bedfordshire based OEM organisation with a range of proprietary designs and solutions serving both commercial and defence markets. A vibrant and growing business, we are now looking to attract additional high calibre individuals who will join us at a time when we are embarking on some exciting programmes and variations.

The Electrical Systems CAD Engineer will work with the team in developing the conceptual design of the Avionics and Electrical system for a large vehicle and develop the detailed wiring diagrams for the Electrical systems for the vehicle and to manage updates to drawings. We invite applications from Electrical Systems CAD Engineers with several years' experience within an aerospace design office, including at a prototype/development level. Candidates must have a sound understanding of one or more of the following systems: Electrical power, Electrical distribution, and/or Power conditioning, avionics for large civil certificated air vehicles.
Developing detailed electrical routing diagrams from schematic drawings to detailed wiring diagrams.
Identifying and select connector and cable types/sizes.
Maintaining and develop wire identifier data base.
Working with sub-contractors and suppliers.
More generally, to work with the team in taking the conceptual design of the electrical power system (both AC and DC elements) from generator to end user elements (including mission systems) for a large un-manned air vehicle assist in the development of interface control documents, system schematics and specifications for all the key elements.
Providing input on the architecture of the systems. Identify possible equipment and liaise with potential suppliers.
