An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Support/Service Desk Analyst to join a fast growing company based in Farnborough.

You MUST be SC Cleared to be able to apply for this role as it is an Urgent requirement.

Required Competencies for a 1st Line Support Engineer

*Confident and proficient in dealing with IT issues
*Ability to follow instruction in a smart hands environment which will include but not limited to, Physical Power Cycle of equipment, Check and reseat cables, Physical like for like equipment replacement, Swap hot swappable parts, visual inspection for faults
*Knowledge of working for a Managed Service Provider (desirable)
*Excellent customer service skills
*Knowledge of technology including and not limited to Microsoft Server , Microsoft Exchange , VMware, Hyper-V, Firewalls, basic networking skills, high level desktop support skills.

Job Role & Responsibilities for a Technical Support Engineer:

As a Security Cleared 1st line engineer you will be required for a highly successful Managed Service Provider with offices based in Wiltshire and Hampshire. We are seeking a technically literate, highly motivated individual to join the a busy help desk team. You will be providing first level customer support to our large and diverse client base ensuring Service Levels are maintained, the ticketing system is fully up to date and will also provide a 'smart hands service' at our clients site in Farnborough.

Main responsibilities for a Technical Support Engineer
*Provide support through assigned work from the Service Desk team, and customer(s).
*Investigate and resolve incidents assigned to you with speedy, fixes ensuring the ticketing system is fully updated.
*Provide Smart Hands requirement in a timely manner adhering to the SLA's in place.

It is essential that the candidate is at a minimum Security Cleared and is able to be flexible with working hours as this is initially a Monday - Friday position but more than likely will need to work shift hours going forward..Please note if you are required to work shifts you will get a shift allowance on top of your yearly Salary.
