Sourcing Business Partner- Prudential, Reading or Paddington or Craigforth - 6 months

Purpose Of Role:
*To partner with a specific business function(s) to execute requirements of the sourcing policy and procedures.
*To ensure that commercially sound and policy-compliant decisions are reached when dealing with third parties
* Basically we are after a good procurement professional who has at least 3 years experience who has project and team working experience and can demonstrate their commercial/contractual negotiation skills through practical examples. Someone who is proactive and can create long lasting relationships across all levels of the business.
Essential Experience:
*Procurement professional who has at least 5 years experience.
*Project/team leadership/stakeholder mgmt experience.
*Can demonstrate their commercial/contractual negotiation skills through practical examples.
*Excellent track record of building pro active relationships to generate opportunities
*Project management experience - so dealing with projects from the Cradle to the grave
*Strong negotiation experience and the person will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered significant benefits
*Strong contract negotiation experience - so they understand the construct of a contract, have lots of experience of negotiation with suppliers on contractual terms and working with legal teams
*Has significant experience of leading cross functional teams, including working and developing relationships with senior business leaders and legal teams.
*Experience of relationship management, preferably in a Sourcing context
*Experience of working in a sourcing environment, preferably Financial Services
*Experience of contract law and drafting and the development of commercial contracts
*Experience of commercial and contract negotiation
*Experience of outsourcing and sourcing suppliers within Financial Service
Knowledge
*Relevant professional qualification (CIPS, minimum educated to degree level)
*Expert level knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals on the same field
*Detailed knowledge of Prudential products, systems and distribution methods
*Understanding of the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice
*Expert level knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
*Expert level knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks
