Description

A Renewable Energy Operator is looking for an experienced Risk Manager to focus on an offshore windfarm project in the UK. This opportunity is on an initial 12 months contract with an immediate start.
The Project Risk Manager will be responsible for the collection and analysis of information on project risks and the reporting of project risks according to client's reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

a) Risk Management:
1. Updating the project risk register monthly. The update shall cover all already identified risks as well as new occurred risks.
2. Organising and managing package risk review workshop every six months. In exceptional cases a risk workshop can be carried out immediately if a high-risk situation is becoming apparent.
3. Assessing any impact of financial risks caused by an unforeseen incidents at the site (eg adverse weather, poor performance or contractor, etc.) as soon as possible.
4. Meeting with all Package Managers monthly and attending monthly Project Team and Engineering Team meetings, in order to understand and update the risk register.
5. Guaranteeing that all regulations of the risk guidelines are observed and actively implemented in the overall reporting system of the project.

b) Reporting:
1. Providing Risk Data to the following reports:
i. The monthly project Steering committee report
ii. The monthly project Central construction team support
iii. Other ad-hoc reports, as required.
2. Provide risk date to the Commercial Analyst to allow risk values to be reflected accurately in the project financial reporting.

Key Skill requirements
Project Risk experience in the major construction, engineering (Petroleum/Oil & Gas/Nuclear), or ideally offshore wind sector
Have demonstrable experience in managing project systems
Be experienced in the collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data
Risk experience including quantitative analysis, schedule analysis, schedule risk, cost risk, risk models, etc.
Experience with Monte Carlo, 3 point estimate, and Crystal Ball
Profficient user of Primavera, PERT Master, and Risk registers
Have tertiary educational qualification in a commercial or engineering discipline
Be highly motivated
Have excellent IT and presentation skills
Be a strong team player
