Description

We are looking for an experienced Sales Support Consultant that has experience of control and risk processes within the financial services industry.

Tori is a fast growing People, Process and IT solutions consultancy which provide a unique combination of business-led/technology-driven solutions, primarily for the Financial Services community. They are dedicated to working with senior level executives, providing high level strategic thinking and undertaking critical project implementations centred on their client's technology environments. Tori is built around industry practitioners, combined with an extended capability of niche IT product and service partners dedicated to the Financial Services industry. They draw on an extensive Associate bench of skilled individuals who can provide specialist knowledge to their clients on specific assignments.

Tori is a private limited company with an £18M turnover and 30 permanent staff based in London's West End. However, through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, Tori is aiming to double the turnover in the next 3 to 5 years.

As a result of these aggressive expansion plans, Tori is looking for a high calibre Sales and Marketing executive to be responsible for driving the growth within the Control practice, through managing the end to end sales process, raising brand awareness, leveraging the strong relationships we have with existing clients and increasing the overall client base.

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Control Practice, Sales & Marketing role reports to the Control Practice head(s). Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of sales related activities within the Control Practice to support the ambitious growth targets, with a key focus on building the client base whilst maintaining agreed margin levels.

  • Developing the Control Practice sales strategy, both within the UK and overseas, identifying the target markets and accounts

  • Working effectively with other Practice leads to develop a good cross selling culture within the organisation

  • Ownership of new business development, including new client contacts, cold calling and meeting generation

  • Developing strong client relations at Senior Executive and CXO levels, developing new business insights, and working with the wider business to deliver practical, implementable solutions.

  • Generating leads by interacting with existing and new clients

  • Working closely with the Account Management team to enable them to continually increase their contribution

  • Ensuring the Control Practice contributes fully to the Marketing Strategy for Tori and delivers the Control component of the Marketing Plan.

  • Lead efforts to position our Control expertise and industry knowledge within our target markets, increasing brand awareness, as well as participating/attending in industry conferences

  • Owning responses to RFI/RFPs, working with the Practice leads and SME's to ensure our proposals are presented in a professional manner, increasing the probability of success.
  • Responsible for the effective use of the Salesforce platform within the company, maintaining high quality data to support marketing, prospecting and the management of all sales opportunities and engagements.

  • Creating Sales MI for the Control business, and using this to drive operational decisions and to help shape the growth strategy of the business.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully managing both small and large engagements at a top tier services/consulting firm
  • Strong management & leadership skills preferably developed in the financial services industry
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrable ability to achieve stretched goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Awareness of key financial services and consultancy trends
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to interact with senior executives, junior employees and clients
  • First class academic record preferably to degree level
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience including at least 5 years with in sales or account management, preferably in financial services
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills - proven record of building and maintaining relationships at senior (CXO and CXO-1) levels
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve business & product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff, shareholders and external stakeholders
