Financial Analyst

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to work within a Global Major Bank on a Key Initiative within the business. There is an immediate need for a Programme Financial Analyst to be accountable for monitoring and controlling the detailed financials for the Decommissioning element of the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project lead to design, establish and maintain financial reports and forecast models.
  • Close working with multiple groups to understand the pipeline of change and the resultant impact to people, technology infrastructure and contracts.
  • Ensure management have access to the level of financial advice and support necessary to meet project milestones
  • Build a financial model based on the original business case, investigate variances and provide explains as necessary.
  • Work with the technology infrastructure group to identify the relevant costs to the organisation
  • Develop a cost model that articulates the contract values and exit dates
  • Work within the People agenda to understand the resource forecasts and translate into a financial model
  • Ownership and co-ordination of all aspects of programme financial management for the Decommissioning project
  • Ensuring the expected cost savings are in line with the original business case model

Key Skills

  • Proven track record of supporting successful major programme implementations in a software and operational environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Advantageous to have Wealth and Investment Management knowledge
