We have a Jersey based opportunity for a Senior Financial Account to work within our busy Financial Accounting Team for 6 months.
Ideal candidates will be ACCA/ACA qualified, with knowledge of new UK GAAP/IFRS/Excellent communications skills are required in order to be able to summarise complex financial ideas and provide guidance to both technical and generalist audiences.
Experience of managing staff within a finance function and organizing and prioritizing multiple work streams would be an advantage.
A key part of this role will be to manage the group's cash and accounts payable processes across the Channel Islands. In addition the successful candidate will manage the Controls and Processes Improvement Programme. Through this programme they will need to work across the business to recommend and support the implementation of improvements to current business controls and processes, to improve reliability in financial reporting.
