Network Engineer - CCNP/French & English
Our client is a large public organisation with offices in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. For their Network LAN Engineering team they are recruiting a CCNP certified Network Engineer who speaks fluently French and English. The job in based in the City centre of Brussels.
The Network Engineer will report to the Networking Technical Coach. He/she will be part of a team performing the operations and maintenance of our client's network including the LAN in 85 buildings (based in Belgium and Luxembourg), 5 Data Centres, the connections between those locations and the secure connections towards the outside world.
You will be working in a complex technical environment and set-up; with opportunities to cooperate with several teams working on different technologies and to participate in cross-functional projects.
What are the duties and responsibilities of this job?
You will be responsible for the LAN infrastructure (Cisco), MPLS backbone, loadbalancers and WIFI (Cisco controllers and access points).
You are participating to projects improving network reliability and performance
You are also participating to the 2nd level support for incident management and request fulfilment (including occasional participation to Service Desk role). This opportunity will also include monthly guard duty.
You will be part of testing of new configuration, equipment and releases.
You will report on network/security usage and performance.
On the top of that, you will develop and maintain a high standard of documentation (procedure, process).
What are the skills and experience needed for that opportunity?
In terms of Switching (Cisco), you have experience with the following ones: VSS and stacking technologies, Trunking/Channeling, Hardenning, STP,
For the routing (Cisco) part, you already worked with: (MP-)BGP, ISIS, OSPF, multicast
For the MPLS: L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, Traffic Engineering, VRF
In terms of WIFI Cisco, an experience with the following technology is required: WISM, Captive portal, Access Point, Clean Air
You already worked with Event Manager (EEM) tool.
You hold the CCNP Certification.

Additional information?
The job is based in Brussels (City Centre).
It requires doing month guard.
