The Client
Green Park are proud to be assisting a joint venture between a sizeable global retailer and a renown private equity house who will be launching a new retail proposition.
As a result of this JV, we will be requiring an Interim Trading Director responsible for the new retail proposition covering Cradle to grave.
The Interim Assignment
This will be the number one trading role where you will be reporting to executive board solely responsible for creation of the trading divisions including all sub divisions streamlining all systems, processes, efficiencies and procedures.
This role will be a pivotal appointment holding responsibility for solidifying supplier relationships, implementation of range reviews whilst rolling out a new general merchandise product proposition.
As this will be the creation of a new retail proposition including new store network, you must be an established proven Trading director ideally covering both small store networks (circa 40 to - 100 stores) as well as larger mid cap store networks ).
The Interim Candidate
The role would suit a well-rounded/experienced Commercial/Trading Director from an established general merchandise high street retail, ideally who has previously taken a retailer through turnaround, rapid growths or IPO with a private equity house previously.
The location for the JV head office is still yet to be decided, we are considering either London, Leeds or Manchester.
