Description

NDT Technician

An NDT technician is required to join an Aerospace world leader based in Birmingham. If you are familiar with Magnetic Particle Inspection(MPI), wet continuous method and Fluorescent Flaw Detection (FPI) post emulsify method you would be perfect for this role.

Duties

Working on a double day shift (which will command a shift uplift) 6am-2pm one week and 2pm-10pm the following week, your day to day duties will include:
The set up and calibration of non-destructive testing equipment, conducting fluorescent and magnetic tests and inspection, organising and reporting test results and adhering to NADCAP processes.

The candidate

You need to motivated and flexible with a strong attention to detail and possess the following qualifications:
Level II Fluorescent Flaw Detection - post emulsify method (FFD) (FPI)
Level II Magnetic Particle Inspection- Wet continuous method (MPI)

You will be testing metals in an aerospace environment but don't need to have specific aerospace qualifications as the types of metals and methods can be found in some Motorsport and sub-tier machining too.
