Procurement Director- London- 6 Month Contract- Up to £540
A superb opportunity has arisen for a contract Procurement Director based in London. You must have commercial expertise and be a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent (eg. MBA).

My client, a leading public sector organisation is seeking to recruit a Procurement Director. As a Procurement Director, you will be required to manage the production and execution of efficient procurement strategies and provide leadership to Procurement Support resources in the team.
Key Tasks and Deliverables
*Manage the production and execution of efficient procurement strategies whilst acting as a source of procurement and commercial expertise
*Administer and demonstrate cashable savings from procurement activity
*Provide leadership to Procurement Support resources in the team
*Construct procurement strategies that lead to commercial outcomes that are effective and reflect the needs of stakeholders
*Lead on high value, complex and strategically important procurement projects
Experience Required
*Demonstrable procurement and purchasing experience, including in depth experience of tendering
*Knowledge and experience with large capital purchasing
*Contract management/contract negotiation experience
*Able to analyse and understand purchasing data/patterns
*NHS background or experience in procurement/sourcing
*Experience in preparing business cases
