ROC Search's client is urgently seeking an experienced Estimator for a 12 month contract based in Surrey.
The correct candidate must have experience in the following:
Estimator Construction Job Responsibilities:
Projects and controls constructions costs by collecting and studying information; controlling construction costs.
Estimator Construction Job Duties:
*Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities.
*Prepares construction budget by studying technical drawings (CAD etc); updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each facet of the event..Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
*Obtains cost from suppliers by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
*Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information
*Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
*Prepares specials reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
*Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
*Maintains continuity among projects, drawing office, and workshop by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
*Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
*Builds Health & Safety aspects into all jobs to ensure statutory obligations are met.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Estimator Construction Skills and Qualifications:
Analysing information, Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Estimating Decision, Marking, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus
Experience with Joinery is also an advantage.
