NHS Service Manager - CancerI am working with a highly respected Trust in London who are looking for an interim Service Manager for Cancer.
The role is a matrix of two skill sets. You will be expected to operationally manage the Cancer services whilst also working closely with the Data teams in order to monitor performance.
The role will be for an initial 3 month period, with a strong possibility of extension.
Day to day duties of the Service Manager:
- Responsible for maximising the efficiency of Cancer patient pathways
- Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders internally & externally
- Work closely with the information team to manipulate data in order to recognise trends & discrepancies
- Use Open Exeter in order to correlate data
- Work collaboratively with all members of staff to resolve capacity issues
- Always work to adhere to national Cancer waiting times & targets
- Implement strategies to resolve issues with delays in patient care
- Line manage the team already in place & advise junior members of staff on subject matters
Requirements for the Service Manager post:
- NHS Operational Management background is a must
- Cancer experience is essential
- Background in working both operationally & with data
- Proven ability to matrix across departments
- Open Exeter experience would be highly advantageous
- Experience of leading on big projects
- Immediately available
