Description

Project Manager required by a leading biopharmaceutical company, on a contract basis, to join their existing logistics/ supply chain team due to increased workload and company expansion. Work will include involvement in  planning, project initiation, execution and completion of the global Shipping & distribution Networks Optimisation. This is a 12 month contract position based in Ireland. 

Position Summary



- Co-ordinate shipping of products from internal and external manufacturing sites

- Support Supply Chain project implementation of Global Shipping & Distribution Optimisation



Principal Responsibilities



- Co-ordination and execution of Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finish Product shipments based upon Shipping & Planning schedule

- Maintain regular and proactive communication with Supply Planning, Quality, Distribution and Finance functions to insure efficient execution of schedules

- Create, maintain GMP SOP’s & Specifications

- Responsible for maintenance of shipping KPIs and communication of performance

- Participate in a key Supply Chain project - Global Shipping & Distribution Optimisation as part of continuous improvement related to onboarding of new carriers, shipping procedures, route qualification, processes, material transfers, track and trace

- Coordinate daily with new & existing partners to support Supply Chain Project for Global Shipping & Distribution Optimization

- Coordinate & complete all administrative duties linked to the role



Qualifications



- Experience in a supporting Supply Chain/Logistics function – exposure to implementation of new freight agents in the Pharma industry

- Preferably Pharma experience

- SAP experience (Sales and Distribution, Inventory)
