Financial Controller for large corporate with experience in Shared Services (SSC). Immediate start paying up to £500 per day for 6 months.
Our client's IT Division is a global function that looks to maintain develop and enhance the organisation's estate. The UK finance organisation within IT is responsible for financial control, cost management, monthly reporting, the budgeting and forecasting process and decision support across a number of IT cost centres. The IT organisation is undergoing significant positive change and this role is key in helping to drive the financial benefits of this.
To provide business partnering responsibility across UK IT, to the Group CIO and his leadership team:
- To provide the Group CIO and his UK leadership team with end-to-end financial/business partner support, including decision support and commercial challenge where there is a cost and financial control implication;
- Ensuring effective financial control and oversight of key finance processes, including month end close and reporting (including oversight of balance sheet and cash control) and owning the IT element of group wide cost allocation, budgeting and forecasting process.

OVERALL REQUIREMENT
The primary purpose of the role is to provide finance support, challenge and financial improvement within the UK IT organisation.
More specifically this includes:
Who will employee engage with on a daily schedule?
- IT leadership team including the Group CIO;
- Wider IT organisation as and when required;
- Finance Director - Enabling Functions;
- Relevant staff within the Accounting Services teams;
- Other finance managers and directors across the BB organisation, in particular those within the UK SBUs.
Both desirable and essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant PQE achieved in a large corporate organisation;
- Experience of driving positive change in a finance organisation;
- Strong accounting and month end skills and experience, with a sound understanding of all aspects of balance sheet control;
- Strong knowledge of the key finance processes and how it is possible to optimise these with a view to reducing costs;
- Practical knowledge and experience of managing a budgeting and reforecasting process within a large corporate;
- Experience of managing a team;
- Previous business partnering experience.
