Interim Commercial Director

Our client, an Outsourced Services business, is looking for an Interim Commercial Director to join them for an initial 3-6 months. The role will be responsible for developing an enterprising business within their outsourced solution.
This enterprise will be working with a number of prisons across the UK, with circa 4000 prisoners across these locations. They currently offer a rehabilitation and upskilling service to these prisoners through work placements with manufacturing and engineering businesses, carrying out quality work like assembly line production, textiles, recycling and repackaging, which is too intricate for robots/computers to carry out.
They are looking for an interim who is hands-on and can really build this into a business, attracting more organisations to offer these work placements to prisoners (with the end result to offer jobs). The suitable interim will be someone who has come from both a commercial (ideally manufacturing/engineering) and Public Sector/Not for profit background who has previous experience of building businesses.
An understanding of how to set up a business from a commercial perspective but also how a not-for-profit organisation can run is essential.
This is initially a 3 - 6 month assignment, however is likely to be extended beyond that.
