Roc Search is currently recruiting for a technical lead to work for a reputable client of mine based in Dublin, Ireland for a contract opportunity.

Skills and experience required:
Lead the Application Support team for AS400 based Payments system used within the Treasury and Global Markets area.
- Independently proficient over AS400 technology, query tools (WRKQRY, SQL), CL and RPG400 application languages - RPG III & RPG IV in particular.
- High proficiency level in DB2/400 database.
- Provide L2 and L3 application support.
- Work closely with the offshore team to share and prioritise work load for self and offshore team members within cluster, consistent with any appropriate direction from customer.
- Manage and resolve incident tickets within the specified SLAs.
- As part of small tactical changes, undertake analysis, code development & testing including test approach, implementation approach planning & production deployment.
- Engage with customer SME and any other stakeholders (3rd parties) as needed.
- Prepare and submit status reports.
- Will be required to provide on-call support on rota for end of day batch runs.
- Understanding and knowledge of AS400 software version control, configuration and deployment/release standards and tools.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the methods, productivity and quality of work produced.
- Excellent technology focus on tools/platforms used in AS400 environment.
- The ability to work on own initiative, to learn quickly, to solve technical issues in a creative yet logical manner and to have a proactive approach to work.
- Excellent Customer Service manner (ability to engage directly with the business and third parties as required).

- Understanding of MQ, FTP transfer
- Experience in banking domain.
- Working with offshore teams.

- ITIL service chain and incident, problem, change and release process.
