IT Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/Azure/Palo Alto/Cisco/Linux
Our client, The European market leader in their business, are based in the north of Holland. They are delivering IT services to several clients in the Netherlands and other European countries. Currently they are migrating their worldwide IT Systems to the newest versions, including the Cloud. At this moment the company has 3000 employees spread over 18 different countries, including France, Germany, Hungary and Turkey.
For this global upgrading project, they are looking for an IT Cloud Infrastructure engineer who can design, integrate, test and maintain Infrastructure/Cloud Solutions.
As the successful Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you responsibilities will include:
- Management of the existing systems and software solutions;
- Datacenter/CoLo/OpCo work: replacing disks, installing hardware, configuring patches;
- Rotate in second/third-line support HINTS infrastructure and software production;
- Answering second line customer inquiries via phone and email;
- Install, configure and update of hardware, OS and software within the infrastructure;
- Creating Impact analysis, which give a good idea of the required resources and efforts;
- Reporting Project/RFC/Incident status to project management, team management and/or business sponsors;
- rotate in infrastructure or cloud substitution trajectories;
- Continuously improve (internal) processes;
- Rotate in several projects related (may) have on several (geographic) locations;
You will also need to have: -
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems, Windows Server. Knowledge of IBM iSeries is an advantage;
- Knowledge of Palo Alto is a must have;
- Knowledge of networking and routing level CCNA, CCNP. Knowledge of Layer 2 and 3 protocols;
- Knowledge of Azure and AWS is a plus;
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services;
- Knowledge of SCCM and SCOM;
- Knowledge of Storage storage systems;
- Knowledge of monitoring and documentation systems;
- 5-10 years applied ITIL and PRINCE2 experience;
- 5-10 years proven experience in the areas of network, security, storage and virtualization technologies;
- Knowledge of Okta, Nets Kope, AirWatch is a plus;
- Willingness to travel to our offices in the Netherlands and abroad;
- Familiarity with ISO certification and subsequent proceedings;
