Description

Aeronautical Engineer is required for a contract position in Bristol,UK.

Sopra Steria Recruitment working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. Our Government client is looking for a Aeronautical Engineer this will be a contract role for 6 months initially.

Essential Experience:
Provide air safety advice, expertise and support to the aircrew escape and survival branch of the air commodities team, including attendance at meetings, staffing of relevant papers and delivery of presentations as required.
Discharge EA responsibilities in accordance with map-01 chapter 13.4 for the following range of equipment: aircrew/passenger immersion and flying coveralls and clothing: IPG, FACS, Legacy flying coveralls, cold weather clothing, FRCS95/FRPCS, inner knitted coverall mk1, aped CBRN clothing (post intro) and Legacy undergarments.
Provide in-service support technical input as required concerning the above mentioned range of equipment to unified customer work, such as development of options, requirements management, and joint user working group proceedings.
Provide technical support to the UOR Programme Manager (ROCS) to ensure successful delivery of UOR/USRS, taking the lead on tasks where appropriate.
Provide SME support to local technical committee (LTC) meetings and local equipment repair committee (LERC), fault, production progress and tender evaluation meetings

should have knowledge and experience of the management, maintenance and use of aircrew equipment assemblies and survival equipment.
