Description
Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer/Senior Buyer Leadsr for an initially 6 month contract based in Birmingham.
Essential experience:
- Should hold or be willing to work towards the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Diploma in Procurement and Supply qualification (or equivalent).
- A strong proven track-record in leading major procurement exercises (inviting/selecting tenders, managing contracts) and/or contract development work (with a knowledge of a wide range of contract types and forms and their application to business need) and/or developing suppliers.
- A proven record in making a significant contribution towards developing and improving a procurement function.
- Understanding of NEC contracts High level of stakeholder management & influencing skills Project Management experience and knowledge Tender Management & Execution
