Web Developer Web Developer - LondonMy client a leading energy trading company based in London is looking for a Web developer to be responsible for design and implementation on a part of the Environment Transformation Project, for clear documentation & early maintenance of each deliverable as it is achieved, and for transitioning maintenance to an offshore resource. The Web Developer will work as part of a project team dedicated to the ETP for the duration of the project. This team consists of highly skilled and capable individuals, each of which is recognised as an expert in their field. The project team is run as a collaborative technical development team with lightweight project management intervention; and a working environment where everyone is encouraged to openly share their ideas and experiences across all technical areas.The Essential experience required are as follows.General· Strong HTML Application Design & Development Skills· Reasonable/Appropriate design skills for web forms and other pages· Working as part of a delivery focussed project development team· Strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiencesTechnical knowledge· PHP and/or ASP, .NET· AJAX· HTTP Protocols· Web Database Design· Active Directory & LDAP Fundamentals· Base Clearcase (Command Line)· Database Fundamentals (SQL and Schemas)· Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN, WAN, firewalls · Practical Knowledge of OracleProcess & Tools· Understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle· Using Source Code Control to manage large scale, multi-stream development projects· Technical Procedure DocumentationBusiness Knowledge· Good understanding of IT related business processes· Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teamsThis is a fantastic opportunity with a big client.
