MCR is looking for talented remote freelance writers to join our team. We are a start-up digital magazine looking for newbie freelance writers to contribute 1-2 posts a month.MCR is 60% freelance written and believes in giving opportunities to writers who have talent, but haven't any published work to put in their portfolio. If this is you, then we have special available spots open that we would like to fill for the next six months.

Contributors for feature articles receive full credit for their work and will be paid a flat rate varying from 2 -7 cents a word.
Rate will be determined based on word count, talent, experience, and ability to write towards a targeted digital audience.
Contributors for blog posts will be considered as "guest bloggers". You will receive full credit for your work, a short bio, and links to your websites, blogs and social media accounts.
MCR thrives on being nerdy while producing a voice for free thinkers that doesn't sound like the masses.
Common subject niches will include:
- Creative entrepreneurs and free thinkers
- Music across various genres
- Marijuana (social, cultural, medical, recreational)
- Gaming
- Comedic pieces
- Movies and TV shows (reviews, opinions)
- Fine Arts
Send a cover letter detailing why you should write for us along with links to your website or portfolio. If you don't have either, include two sample articles of your work as a link or as an attachment. Include 1-3 blog or article ideas with a header and simple description.
