At FetLife we are looking for an open-minded, kink-friendly Product Designer to join our team and help us continuously improve FetLife.At FetLife you will be responsible for
- Designing new features and improvements to existing features
- Pitching new ideas and improvements to existing experiences
- Helping better define our design language and style guide
- Writing well-structured HTML and CSS
- Working with a cross-functional team to consistently ship iterative improvements
- Recognizing, extracting, and documenting reusable front-end components
- Converting FetLife from a fixed width layout to a responsive layout
- Improving the maintainability of our design system
- Writing clear, concise, and persuasive copy
- Seeing a project from idea to production
You should have experience
- Designing responsive experiences
- Designing and developing a style guide and reusable responsive components
- Pitching new ideas and improvements to existing experiences and designs
- Iteratively improving existing websites based on member feedback
- Writing well-structured HTML and CSS to bring designs to life
- Seeing a project from inception to production
Bonus if you have experience
- Navigating and working within a large Rails codebase
- Using Tachyons and/or working with OOCSS
- Working with and implementing Rails views
- Doing some basic things with javascript
- Working with a small 100% remote team
