Technical Author - Contract
Our highly successful software client is looking for a technical author with experience of writing complex, technical documentation deliverables for developer audiences. Working as part of a small, thriving documentation team, you'll create and update high-quality product documentation for a software developer audience (eg API references, tutorials, developer guides), describing complex software architectures and how to develop software applications using SDK, APIs, and developer tools.
As part of this interesting role, you'll be managing your own documentation projects, including planning, writing, and editing, through to on-time delivery. Some home working may be possible.
What's needed?
- Solid experience of writing technical documentation deliverables for a developer audience.
- Experience of one or more high-level programming languages.
- A technical background with an understanding of enterprise-scale systems or the ability and enthusiasm to grasp the technology.
- Experience of working closely with engineering and product management teams as part of the software development process.
- A can do approach to a wide and rapidly changing workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
This is an initial six month contract with possible extensions.
