My Client who are a large financial services company require a Senior Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering within complex software solutions.
This is a rapidly growing area with lots of opportunities to gain exposure to the full software development life cycle within a complex and demanding project environment.
You will be expected to:
- Be a liaison between internal business units around the world and the development team.
- Provide analytical perspective to the business users throughout the software development process.
- Interpret Business Requirements and assist users in clearly articulating all aspects of their requirements.
- Prepare Functional Specifications based on Business Requirements.
- Prepare Procedures and Guides on various systems and processes as the need arises.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with user requirements, on time and on budget.
- Pay attention to detail and an application of good work methods.
- Display initiative and judgment in making good well-rounded decisions; resourcefulness is key.
- A willingness to look for solutions and solve problems. Taking responsibility for your own tasks and bringing these through to completion.
- An organised and dependable person, capable of working with minimal supervision within a close team environment.
- Ability to design and deliver innovative and practical solutions
- Provide data analysis from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data
You will:
- Work closely with Project Managers in providing delivery dates for completing key project documentation.
- Work closely with the development team to sufficiently convey the functional solution and initiate technical design and build.
- Work closely with vendors in numerous time zones including USA, India and EMEA regions, ensuring that they deliver on time and within budget.
- Devise and participate in System Testing of Products and Systems.
- Support users during User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide formal end-user expertise and training.
- Partake in one or more development projects, documenting and managing objectives, priorities, and deliverables.
Experience:
- A broad understanding of the SDLC
- Specific in-depth knowledge of Cloud Architecture would be an advantage.
- Previous Business Analysis experience required, preferably within the financial industry.
- Practical knowledge of the software development life cycle is highly desirable.
- Good analytical and problem analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Relationship management skills:Ability to develop and sustain positive partnerships and be a team player.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) at several levels throughout the organisation.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, often involving changing priorities and multiple deadlines.
Skills:
- Excellent and efficient documentation skills.
- Extensive experience with MS Office Suite including Advanced Excel Skills
- Very good communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to the diverse and global audience.
- Strong team player.
