Windows 7 Engineer - deployment, client access Windows 7 Engineer - deployment, client access· Wide range of experience and knowledge of Windows based client Operating Systems including Windows 7 and Windows XP· Good analytical skills and technical knowledge across the client environment· An understanding of deployment technologies used across the Windows client landscape, including unattended build scenarios, Microsoft tools such as WAIK and ImageX and application distribution methodologies· Wide range of experience and knowledge of client access devices including notebooks, workstations, desktops, thin clients and virtual infrastructureThe role involves working with the Windows 7 Project Team to assist with the engineering of the Windows 7 environment.A number of engineering elements remain outstanding and a key responsibility will be gaining an in depth understanding of how the environment works today, along with assisting with the roadmap of future development.As the project progresses and deployment becomes more widespread the role transitions to become, along with the ongoing engineering responsibilities, the focal point for escalation into the engineering department where third level support is required. Responsibilities will include:· Monitoring escalation queues and attempting first pass resolution of issues· Escalation within the team to the appropriate resource if the issue cannot be resolved in isolation· Managing feedback to the End User Services environment· Liaison and point of contact duties with End User Services· Analysing and identifying trends within the deployment base and working with the engineering departments to resolve issues and address proactive changes· Documenting fixes and updates as developed· Suggesting and adopting improvements in the triage process with both Engineering and End User Services groupsPlease apply for more information.
