Description

Business Analyst - (Data Migration, MS Azure) - Birmingham - upto £450 per day - 6 months

Talent are working with a regulatory body that is looking to recruit a Business Analyst on an initial 6 month contract. Based in central Birmingham, this is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation as they deliver one of the largest, most complex transformation programmes in the region.

The organisation is moving their entire core platform to Microsoft technologies and we're engaged to develop the data migration workstream. As the Business Analyst involved in the Data Migration, you'll play a key role in the project by:

Within the context of a formal project delivery framework, work with stakeholders to identify, quantify and challenge benefits to ensure that they are deliverable and have clear ownership. Ensure that baseline data and realisation measures are robust and that benefits are reviewed and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Document and analyse As Is and To Be flow charts to achieve process optimization.
  • Capture, clarify and prioritise functional and non-functional and business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and that all stakeholders have been considered.
  • Work with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve cost-effective, fit for purpose solutions, using gap analysis of requirements against standard solution functionality where appropriate.
  • Act as the interface between business and technical/supplier teams throughout solution development, testing and acceptance, facilitating resolution of queries and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Internal Controls procedures including Data Protection, Information Security, Financial Policies and Equality & Diversity.
  • Ensure that relevant assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that assigned work is completed to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.


Essential
  • A thorough understanding of, and prior experience working within, the BCS / ISEB Business Analysis Framework.
  • Good interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills, able to manage competing stakeholder priorities and interests, with the ability to challenge effectively and constructively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experienced and proficient in the production of formal documentation.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and lead workshops.
  • Proficient in using structured project processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite to intermediate level, including MS Visio.
