My client, a market leading travel technology organisation, are seeking a highly motivated Datawarehouse Engineer.
What you will be doing?
- Take a key role in leading the technical architecture, design & implementation of the clients BI DWH & data marts.
- Provide strategy, design, and direction for software development initiatives, including existing system enhancements, new system code development, systems conversions, and other technical efforts requiring software and/or code development.
- Gather, document, examine and manage data integration and data management requirements.
- Design and build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions using various integration tools and a variety of data environments.
- Datamodelling, both logical and physical.
- Optimise data integration platforms to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes and complexity.
- Analyse and resolve problems associated with work flow, and/or processes as required for defining requirements or specifications for development efforts.
- Consult and coordinate with Head of Business Intelligence and other team members, as well as other areas of the business for definition of business systems, code, requests, requirements, specifications, approach, prioritization, and implementation, directed at CarTrawler business initiatives and strategies.
- Liaise with other technical areas, conducting technology research and evaluate software required for maintaining the data management environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc or MSc in a relevant quantitative field, eg Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience in business-related field.
- 5+ years successful experience in at least two of the following disciplines and be an expert in one: Data Integration/ETL, Data Lake/Warehouse/Data Mart design, Data Management, Data Virtualization/Federation, and Datamodelling.
- Expert in different patterns and technologies around enterprise-level data integration, data management and data warehousing.
- Expert in the design, development and optimisation/tuning of database technologies.
- A creative data technologist passionate about data/information management and architectures.
- Innovative, creative, articulate and able to work and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate examples of leadership of previous successful deliveries, built on a foundation of hands on development of enterprise data services utilizing a broad range of platforms and system types.
